Physical Education
It is the intention that children at Stanton in Peak acquire the motivation, confidence, physical competence, understanding and knowledge to maintain physical activity at an individual appropriate level throughout life (physical literacy).
The school believes that physical education, experienced in a safe and supportive environment, is vital and unique in its contribution to pupil’s physical, social and emotional development and health. The physical education curriculum aims to provide for pupils’ increasing self-confidence through an ability to manage themselves successfully in a variety of situations. A balance of individual, team, co-operative and competitive actives aims to cater for individual pupil’s needs and abilities.
Please look at our progression map to find out more about how we build and develop skills and knowledge through the National Curriculum's areas of study.
